My name is Genaro L. Moran, and I am a certified applications instructor with Career Development Solutions. I have over 45 years of work experience and have used the DAEL (Data Analyst Entry Level) courses and/or similar products that I teach in today’s world that are essential for data analysis. I have used Microsoft Excel and Access to extract basic data to help companies make informed decisions.
The DAEL program that I teach has the basic core concepts needed to analyze data collection, perform basic statistical analysis, and identify trends and patterns within datasets. I specialize in Excel, as I have used this program to conceptualize datasets and explore opportunities and/or threats that a company might use to help its position in the market.
Besides teaching Excel, which is my favorite application program, I enjoy talking to my students about the Business Analysis part of the program, which delves into discussing different techniques to be used to extract data from stakeholders, such as brainstorming, 6-3-5 method, fishbone diagram, and SWOT analysis, just to mention a few.
Conclusion
I do believe these courses can help advance and improve your career opportunities, especially if you apply these and other techniques in your line of work.
