One of the top concerns incoming students may have is funding their education. At Career Development Solutions, we understand investing in your career is a huge decision. We've created this page to give an overview of some of the funding options that may be available to you for career training.

Potential Funding Sources

  • WIOA

    The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides job training benefits for adults, dislocated workers, and youth to help gain skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment. To qualify, you must be approved by your local workforce development agency. Click here to find the American Job Center nearest you.

  • Trade Adjustment Assistance

    The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program is a federal program established under the Trade Adjustment Assistance Reauthorization Act of 2015 that provides aid to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages are reduced as a result of increased imports.

    The TAA program offers a variety of benefits and reemployment services to help unemployed workers prepare for and obtain suitable employment.

  • Veterans Education Benefits

    Veterans Education Benefits provides a number of education benefits for service members and veterans. Career Development Solutions provides a variety of training programs that qualify for these benefits. This means you can get started on a new career path with little to no out-of-pocket expenses.

  • Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E)

    If you’re a service member or Veteran and have a disability that was caused—or made worse—by your active-duty service and that limits your ability to work or prevents you from working, you may be able to get employment support or services to help you live as independently as possible. To see if you’re eligible for Veteran Readiness and Employment click here.

  • MyCAA

    The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides financial assistance to eligible military spouses for the pursuit or maintenance (including continuing education courses) of a license, certification, or associate’s degree necessary to gain employment in an occupation or career field. Read more about MyCAA.

  • Tuition Reimbursement

  • CDS Learning Credits

    Skip intensive administrative work and secure your training budget with Learning Credits, a dollar-for-dollar training credit that allows you to train, retain, and improve your workforce. Redeem Learning Credits on any Career Development Solutions offering including Private Event delivery at the customer’s location or ours, a vast open enrollment schedule, or e-Learning.

  • State Rehabilitation (DoR)

    If you have a disability of any kind, you may qualify for training funds through the Department of Rehabilitation. To find out more and learn how to apply, visit your state’s Vocational Rehabilitation website.


  • Incumbent Worker Training (IWT)

    You could upskill your employees using government funds with the Incumbent Worker Training program. 

    Department of Labor funding is available to help employees grow at their jobs while building a stronger workforce—and in turn, upgrading employer success. Your team could be trained and upgraded with training expenses covered.

  • Injured Worker

    If you have been injured on the job, you may have received a training voucher with your benefits package. Career Development Solutions works with various vocational counselors to assist injured workers with using their training vouchers for training for a new career.

  • Government Funded Programs

    If you are an employer in the United States, you may qualify for state funding for your workforce. Contact us for more details.

  • Self Pay

    Career Development Solutions accepts cash, credit cards, and checks if you are funding your own training.
