Reason for Nomination: Although I have reached out to Gabe on numerous occasions during this transition phase, Gabe has taken me under his wing and made it a point to check up on me on a daily basis while checking my calendar and making sure I am ready for my upcoming classes. This gesture has been so valuable to this cohort that I just cannot put a price on it, and Gabe is doing this all while teaching his own classes and doing projects for CDS. I have always considered CDS my family, and Gabe has treated me as such. Thank you, my work brother, for living our values. Much respect, Gabe, from this cohort.

Reason for Nomination: I have been working for over 45 years in different work capacities, and I have never worked with a more competent and dedicated group of people than our IT department. When there is an issue, they either have the solution or a workaround. Thank you for living our values.
Simplicity

Reason for Nomination: Recently, I let Mark know that one of our labs was using the older material than our 2021 book. The next day, Patrick Schafer updated the lab and we were good to go. Today I started a new class and noticed that I was missing my labs, and Patrick Shafer enabled them within a minute. Thank you, Patrick, for living our values.
People-First
Winner: Jennifer Nichols

Reason for Nomination: Jennifer was a HUGE help for me this week with an event in San Diego. She made two trips downtown to where the event was held to drop off and pick up her box with booth supplies. She also printed 50 copies of two different PDFs for me to hand out at the event. She made a significant effort to help and it made things so much easier for me.
