At Career Development Solutions, we pride ourselves on upholding our core values: Gratitude, Respect, Accountability, Simplicity, and People-First (GRASP). These principles guide our actions, decisions, and interactions, both within our team and with our valued students. Each month, during our companywide Mojo meeting, we honor those who exemplify these values through their outstanding contributions and dedication.
This monthly series shines a spotlight on the remarkable team members who have been nominated by their peers for their exceptional demonstration of our GRASP values. Join us in celebrating their achievements and the positive impact they have on our organization.

Gratitude

Winner: Edith Silva
Nominated by: Jon Struebing
Reason for Nomination: I was having issues getting a partner to approve PMP program for a student. They wanted to change the verbiage on the ETPL. After speaking with Edith she made great points and explained it in a way that made the case manager understand. I’m very grateful to have Edith part of the team. Thank you!
Respect

Winner: Ruben Aguilera
Nominated by: Jon Struebing
Reason for Nomination: I can’t thank Ruben enough for covering my pipeline while I’m out on leave for the birth of my daughter. He has done a great job closing and creating opportunities for me. Thank you Ruben, for putting in double work for the team.
Accountability

Winner: Michael Mahoney
Nominated by: Patrick Tokeshi
Reason for Nomination: We had a room rental in Burbank a couple of weeks ago and Mike set up the classroom the week before the scheduled event by removing the monitors, keyboards, and mice from the room. He also went and opened the center for the room rent. Then the following week he went back to Burbank to put back the monitors, keyboards, and mice. Thanks, Mike, for helping out and going out to Burbank!!!
Simplicity

Winner: Tiffany Herrera
Nominated by: Edith Silva & Tiffany David
Edith’s Reason for Nomination: Tiffany suggested adding a banner to the QuickBooks and Six Sigma classes to remind students of special instructions. This will help both students and the GC remember to create and assign accounts before the course ends, ensuring that the accounts do not expire prematurely.
Tiffany’s Reason for Nomination: Tiff just gets it. When I go to her with urgent requests from counselors for progress reports and extensions, she gets back to me quickly and gives me exactly what I need to keep the counselor happy. She has a lot on her plate but never makes me feel bad for reaching out to her.
People-First

Winner: Patrick Tokeshi
Nominated by: Brian Mulholland
Reason for Nomination: I was working late on writing up a big order, but I needed some new classes to be added into the CRM. Patrick stayed late (which I appreciate) and also got it done quickly (which I appreciate too) so I could finish the order AND submit it tonight. It’s a huge load off my plate. Thank you Patrick!!!
